Base64 to File example
data:text/plain;base64,SGVsbG8=hello.txt containing HelloChoose hello.txt as the download filename. The Data URL provides text/plain; the saved file contains five bytes and no added newline.
100% local. No uploads. No storage.

Files never leave your device.
Files over 25 MiB may use significant browser memory. Maximum: 64 MiB per file.
Options apply to encoding text and files. Decoding accepts standard and URL-safe Base64, with or without padding, and ignores whitespace. Data URLs always use standard, padded Base64 without wrapping.

Use file decoding when the result is an image, PDF, archive, or text in an encoding other than UTF-8. The tool makes a local Blob from the decoded bytes. It does not open, preview, or execute the recovered file.

Raw Base64 does not reliably identify a filename or media type. Use the extension appropriate for the original file, such as .png or .pdf. Without a supplied type, the tool uses application/octet-stream. Changing an extension does not convert one file format into another.
All conversions run locally in your browser. No input, files, filenames, or results are uploaded or saved by Base64Baboon. Copies and downloads you request are yours to manage. Read the privacy details. Base64 is encoding, not encryption.
The value may be incomplete, contain the wrong bytes, or represent a different format. Check the source and filename extension. A successful Base64 decode confirms the encoding structure, not that the file itself is valid.
No. Validation, decoding, Blob creation, and download preparation happen locally. The app does not send content or filenames in network requests.
The decoded file can contain at most 64 MiB of bytes. Pasted Base64 also has a bounded text size, so excessive whitespace can reach the input limit sooner.
Restore a file from Base64 or a Data URL. Your browser prepares the download locally, preserving the decoded bytes.
